Wow, it’s been a long time since I’ve posted a blog! It’s been a rough couple of months to say the least. I just got back from Indiana from a three week stay, where I worked two weeks (thank goodness for working virtually) and was off for the week of Thanksgiving. I had a great time visiting with my cousin Nichole, Aunt Karen, and all my other relatives. I actually got to see one of my little brothers for the first time in several years. Unfortunately, my last Grandparent (Grandma Lashbrook) died on Thanksgiving Day. She was very ready to join our Heavenly Father and be reunited with Grandpa. I am so happy for her blessings and lessons in life and will forever miss her.
In my last post, long ago, I said that I was making hats for all of my sisters kids / grandkids to work through my grief. Since I was able to gift their hats after my sisters service, I thought I would share a little at a time. Otherwise, I’m working on Christmas gifts and can’t post about those until after the holidays. I’ll start with the ones where I have photos of the actual recipient and hope that I receive pictures from the others soon 🙂 I forgot to take pics of each of them at the dinner after the service.
Ravelled Here: Sunrise Hat by Lion Brand Yarn
Started and Finished 10/27/15
Needles: US 10 – 6.0 mm 16 inch circulars and DPNs
Yarn: Loops & Threads Charisma in the color Bright Pop
Made For: Grandniece Stacy (Kayla’s daughter)
I knew that all of the hats would have to be machine wash / dry. I loved working with this yarn. It is super soft and really easy to work with. The color is super bright and my grandniece Stacy really loved it! She’s been wearing it every day since I gave it to her 🙂
Until next time…Happy Knitting!

It’s lovely..wonderfully made..😊👍

It’s a lovely hat, Paula. I’ve tried to get the pattern from Ravelry and by searching the Lion Brand web site for Pattern #: L10610, but it appears that it’s unavailable as I either get a ‘404 page not found’ or ‘0 found’ messages. Do you have a copy of the pattern you could send me? It’s free so no copyright infringement. I hope so. Thank you Sue.

I’m so sorry Sue, but I did not keep a copy of it…at least digitally, and if I kept a hard copy, I have no idea where it would be. This was the only time I made the pattern and it was back in 2015. I also tried all the searches and the pattern is no longer available. However, if you do a search for Pixie or Elf Hat on Ravelry, then select Knitting, Free, and Bulky from the search terms, you’ll see a return of similar patterns.
