I’m excited to say that I’ve started knitting on my Rose City Roller socks again! I wish I had finished socks to show you; however we ALL know that it takes me months to knit one pair of shortie socks…lol. I wish the knitting fairies could speed things up for me. I was able to get the ankle completed and I’m half way through the slip stitch heel flap. I have to say this is one of my favorite heel types. I think it fits my foot very well.
The front of the foot stitches are on the shortened magic loop needles. The heel stitches are each on a DPN and I’m using another DPN to knit the stitches. It’s pretty fast on the S1, K1 rows; however things slow down on the purl side. Since I will have vacation time during Thanksgiving week, I hope that I’ll be able to get some real progress done on these and maybe, possibly have a finished pair to blog about next month. I really, really want to knit some Christmas socks and I already have the absolutely perfect yarn for it lined up and ready to go!

I actually have attended a Portuguese Knitting class and made a washcloth using those skills 🙂 I need to practice what I learned a little more before using it on a pair of socks, I think 😀 The issue with the purling is because of the tiny wood needles (I keep thinking I’m going to break one).

That’s such a beautiful color! I really need to up my sock game. I originally wanted to learn knitting so I could make socks, but I’ve only successfully made a few pairs.

Thank you! It’s Neon Peach from Madeline Tosh Sock. I need to get faster at it so I’m not talking about the same pair of socks for several months 🙂 I think it’s so much fun though and I love having socks I’ve made warming my feet!
