Remember how I posted last month about being so excited to have time to actually knit while on vacation? Yeah, that didn’t happen. I brought four projects with me and the only thing I’ve finished so far are the crochet blocks I made for a charity crochet / knitting request. Why do we always think we’re going to have loads and loads of knitting time on vacation? Vacationing also needs to happen 🙂
This is going to be the last “Once Upon a Sock” linkup post. Participation has dropped considerably and I haven’t had the time I really want for knitting socks. For me, this is more of a chore now because I constantly worry about getting stuff done to post about and I haven’t been able to do it. I’ve completed one pair of socks this entire year and spent way too many blog posts posting about that pair of socks, which is kind of boring. Plus, I pay a monthly fee to be able to host the linkup and I’d like to get that off my plate. 2020 is going to be about cutting some costs for things I don’t really need.
I’m still interested in seeing your socks though! So, continue to post about them and I’ll read them on your blogs. I receive notifications every time one of my blogging buddies posts, so I’ll still be able to enjoy looking at your beautiful makes. I’ll blog when I have a finished project and I have time.

Thank you so much for starting this initiative! I haven’t been great about using the linkup, but I really do enjoy what you’ve started, this Once Upon A Sock. I think I’m going to keep posting sock posts for the first Thursday 🙂

Everyone I see these posts I think “I’m gonna join in next month!” But every month I don’t. So I’m just gonna throw it out there that In 2020, I WILL post at least one Once Upon A Sock!

I saw that, but I think I misread. 😂 I thought you were saying this would be the last one you’re posting but that it would keep going. Good to know others WILL be continuing to post about their sock projects, just won’t be “Once Upon a Sock”
